Mandalas and Me

Hi! My name is Liana and I'm in love with Mandalas.

I've been creating mandalas for as long as I can remember. College textbooks, note pages, doodles and anything I could get my hands on, really. I was recently asked why I did not follow a template, and where my inspiration came from.

I find inspiration for it everywhere. Nature, different emblems in so many cultures, business logos, foods, art, and there is only one universal similarity between all of them, and it is that they bare the same shape, but never the same story. Whether the colors are different, they have simple or very intricate designs or it is used to promote a business, they all share an infinite circle that creates it's own identity.

Personally, It has become a form of meditation that has created so many realizations about life.  As someone who's struggled with a sense of self and harsh self criticism, the most valuable of the lessons i've learned are there are no mistakes.  Much like life, mistakes, bumps, and obstacles arise unexpectedly, but if you push forward and stick with it to it's end, those "mistakes" are mere whispers in the grand scheme of everything because they're entangled in the parts that wouldn't be the same without that blimp in the design. There are so many more significant details that make up the bigger picture. The second, and maybe the most important, there is no such thing as perfection. Even if you're carrying on with your life, and in this metaphor, a mandala design, sometimes your intuition, or "mistakes" you make, force you in a different direction that inspires something so much more beautiful than you could have planned for yourself.
I am grateful for this opportunity to share what I love with my followers, supporters, friends and family. Thank you.
